How It Works

Freeing a Nerve From Surrounding Tissue

Peripheral nerves can become compressed or entrapped by surrounding scar tissue, thickened fascia, or narrow anatomical tunnels — as in carpal tunnel syndrome at the wrist, cubital tunnel syndrome at the elbow, tarsal tunnel syndrome at the ankle, and meralgia paresthetica at the thigh. This entrapment restricts the nerve's normal gliding motion, driving pain, numbness, tingling, and weakness in the area it supplies.

Nerve hydrodissection uses precisely placed fluid, guided in real time by ultrasound, to mechanically separate the nerve from the tissue restricting it — relieving pressure and restoring its normal mobility.
