A New Standard in Non-Operative Orthopedic Care

OC Musculoskeletal Medical Center was founded on a simple belief: most orthopedic pain does not require surgery. We offer the most advanced non-operative treatments available, performed with precision ultrasound guidance by a fellowship-trained sports medicine physician.

Every procedure at our clinic is guided by diagnostic ultrasound, ensuring unmatched accuracy in both diagnosis and treatment delivery. This is the same standard of care used in elite professional sports medicine — and it is now the standard for every patient who walks through our door.

Whether you are an active adult managing a nagging injury, an athlete looking to recover without surgery, or someone who continues to experience pain following a surgical or other orthopedic procedure — we have a treatment pathway designed for you.

Our Approach
Precision Ultrasound Guidance for Every Procedure

Cutting-Edge Therapies,
All Ultrasound-Guided

We offer the most advanced non-operative treatments in orthopedic medicine — the same therapies used with professional and collegiate athletes — performed with diagnostic ultrasound for precision and safety.

01

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

A regenerative therapy using concentrated platelets from your own blood to stimulate healing in tendons, ligaments, muscles, and joints.

Learn more ›
02

Alpha-2-Macroglobulin (A2M)

A naturally occurring protein that inhibits cartilage-degrading enzymes. An emerging regenerative option for osteoarthritis and joint preservation.

03

Viscosupplementation

Viscosupplementation injections that restore joint lubrication, reduce pain, and improve mobility by replenishing hyaluronic acid within the joint space.

04

Prolotherapy

Injection-based treatment using a dextrose solution — combined with ultrasound-guided fenestrations — to stimulate the body's natural repair response in chronically painful ligaments and tendons.

05

Minimally Invasive Tenotomy

A precise needle-based procedure to break up and remove degenerative tendon tissue, promoting healing without open surgery.

06

SPRINT Peripheral Nerve Stimulation (PNS)

A temporary implanted lead delivers mild electrical pulses to peripheral nerves, providing sustained pain relief for chronic musculoskeletal conditions.

07

IOVERA° Cryoneuromodulation

A non-pharmacological neuromodulation technology that uses targeted cold therapy to temporarily disrupt pain-signaling nerves — without medication.

08

Ultrasound-Guided Nerve Hydrodissection

A precise injection technique using fluid to release compressed or entrapped peripheral nerves, restoring normal nerve mobility and reducing pain.

09

Ultrasound-Guided Capsular Hydrodistension

A minimally invasive procedure that stretches and releases a contracted joint capsule using a carefully injected fluid mixture — commonly used for adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder).

Every procedure at OC Musculoskeletal Medical Center is performed under real-time ultrasound guidance. This means diagnoses are confirmed visually before treatment, injections are delivered to the exact target structure, and outcomes are optimized through precision — not approximation.

We are committed to evidence-based medicine. We do not offer unregulated peptide therapies or unproven "stem cell" treatments. Instead, we offer safe, well-studied orthobiologic and regenerative therapies — such as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), Hyaluronic Acid (HA), and Alpha-2-Macroglobulin (A2M) — that are supported by peer-reviewed research and established clinical use.

Musculoskeletal Conditions,
Managed Without Surgery

We specialize in the non-operative diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions — using advanced ultrasound guidance to precisely target the source of your pain.

01

Osteoarthritis & Joint Degeneration

Degenerative changes in the knee, hip, shoulder, and other joints causing pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility.

02

Tendinitis & Chronic Tendinosis

Acute and chronic tendon conditions including rotator cuff tendinopathy, Achilles tendinopathy, patellar tendinopathy, and lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow).

03

Ligament Injuries & Sprains

Ligament tears and chronic ligament laxity affecting the ankle, knee, wrist, and other joints — often successfully managed without surgery.

04

Peripheral Neuropathy & Nerve Entrapment

Conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, tarsal tunnel syndrome, and other peripheral nerve compression or entrapment syndromes.

05

Frozen Shoulder (Adhesive Capsulitis)

Progressive shoulder stiffness and pain resulting from thickening and tightening of the joint capsule.

06

Rotator Cuff Injuries

Rotator cuff tears, rotator cuff tendinopathy, and shoulder impingement syndrome — treated non-operatively with regenerative and ultrasound-guided therapies.

07

Bursitis

Inflammation of the bursae in the shoulder, hip, knee, elbow, and other joints causing localized pain and swelling.

08

Plantar Fasciitis & Heel Pain

Chronic heel and arch pain from plantar fascia degeneration, often resistant to conservative measures.

09

Muscle Injuries & Strains

Acute and chronic muscle tears, strains, and myofascial pain affecting athletes and active individuals.

10

Persistent Pain After Joint Replacement

Ongoing pain following knee, hip, or shoulder replacement surgery, addressed through targeted regenerative and neuromodulation therapies.

11

Trigger Finger (Stenosing Tenosynovitis)

A condition causing a finger to catch or lock when bent, resulting from inflammation of the tendon sheath — treated with precision ultrasound-guided injection.

12

De Quervain's Tenosynovitis

Painful inflammation of the tendons along the thumb side of the wrist, causing pain and swelling near the base of the thumb — treated with ultrasound-guided injection.

13

Buttocks & Hip Pain

Deep buttock and hip pain from conditions such as piriformis syndrome, gluteal tendinopathy, and sciatic nerve irritation — diagnosed and treated with ultrasound-guided precision.

Dr. Ashkan Salamatipour

Sports Medicine & Non-Operative Orthopedic Physician

Expert Care,
Without Surgery.

At OC Musculoskeletal Medical Center, every patient is evaluated and treated by a board-certified sports medicine and family medicine physician with subspecialty fellowship training. Dr. Salamatipour brings a high standard of musculoskeletal care — the kind typically reserved for elite collegiate and professional athletes — to every patient who walks through our door.

During his sports medicine fellowship at Indiana University, Dr. Salamatipour had the privilege of working with Big Ten athletes, including members of the Indiana Hoosiers — the national college football championship team — providing sideline coverage, injury evaluation, and non-operative orthopedic care at the highest level of Division I college athletics.

Every injection, every procedure, and every diagnosis at OCMSK is guided by real-time diagnostic ultrasound, ensuring precision in both identifying and treating the source of pain. This commitment to image-guided care is what sets our clinic apart from conventional orthopedic practice.

Dr. Salamatipour is actively engaged in academic medicine — publishing peer-reviewed research, serving as a journal reviewer, and holding a faculty appointment at the Palmdale Regional Medical Center Family Medicine Residency while precepting medical students across several institutions.
